Barclay's Bank Barclay's Bank

Before the introduction of Talking ATM’s, blind and visually impaired customers were not able to use an ATM independently. Prompted by a Make Money Talk campaign initiated by the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People), Barclays, as the first major UK bank, decided to audio-enable its cash machines in order to make them accessible for blind and visually impaired people. They just need to plug-in their earphones to access the service. For its engagement, Barclays received the RNIB’s Exemplar Service Award.
